The Quality Management System of L&T Valves has been certified to comply with:

  • ISO 9001:2008
  • API Spec. Q1

Further, the quality management system has been audited and approved by major customers from around the world.

The company is licensed to use CE & ATEX Marking, and API 600, API 6D, API 609 and API 594 monograms. Ball, Butterfly, Gate and Globe valves are SIL3-capable and meet the requirements of IEC 61508/ IEC 61511 standards. In addition, the product designs have been independently certified to meet PED Module B1 norms.

The in-house quality assurance and quality control capabilities are benchmarked to global standards:

  • State-of-the-art Gauge Calibration Centre
  • Metallurgical Lab
  • Non-destructive Test Facilities

The quality of the raw materials is ensured by a stringent vendor qualification system. NDT methods are employed to qualify samples and pilot lots, and surveillance audits are carried out to ensure compliance.

100% of the valves manufactured at L&T’s plants are tested. The acceptance criteria adopted are more stringent than the requirements specified in international standards.

The pervasive quality culture of L&T Valves that focuses on pro-active problem has won accolades from some of the largest EPC contractors in the world.
